EF English Courses is looking for a trainee Senior Teacher to join our growing school in Barcelona. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new and growing organization in Spain and Europe. We are looking for flexible, customer oriented people who are passionate about development to provide engaging communicative English classes to adult learners of English.

The trainee senior teacher will start as a teacher on approximately 10-17 hours with additional hours to cover when other staff take annual leave. They will also gradually take on additional hours and responsibilities between now and February 2019.  These will include developing teachers through observing, coaching, mentoring and training as well as administrative tasks such as scheduling. The ideal candidate should possess at least a CELTA / Trinity CERT entry qualification as well as a DELTA, Trinity Diploma, PGCE or Masters equivalent. Teacher development and/or management experience is preferred but not essential. You should be based in Barcelona or able to visit the center to provide a demonstration class.

This teacher position will initially be for approximately 10-17 hours per week as the base contract with more hours available to cover when other teachers are on annual leave. As such we are looking for a teacher who would be able to take on these additional hours. 

Key operational requirements
•	Saturdays 9:30 to 15:30 – every other Saturday
•	Initially 1 or 2 evenings (17:30-21:30) and 1 or 2 mornings (8:30-15:30) per week
•	Availability to provide coverage when peers are on vacation
•	Willingness to take on more hours as the center grows

Teacher requirements

•	EU passport holder or right to work in Spain (required)
•	1+ year experience of teaching adult learners (required)
•	120 Hour TEFL Certificate with 6 hours of teaching practice; CELTA/CertTESOL (preferred)
•	Available to come to the school for a demonstration class as part of the interview process

Senior Teacher requirements

•	EU passport holder or right to work in Spain (required)
•	3+ year experience of teaching adult learners (required)
•	DELTA, Trinity Diploma, PGCE or Masters equivalent (required)
•	Teacher development & management experienced (preferred)
•	Available to come to the school for a demonstration class as part of the interview process
