ENGLISH TEACHER 2022-23 POBLENOU, BARCELONA

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and professional English teacher with good language awareness to join our friendly teaching team.

Urban School is a small independent academy in Poblenou providing high quality language teaching with a focus on individual learner needs. We foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for both learning and teaching. We are committed to helping our teachers develop their skills by offering ongoing training coupled with a supportive work environment.

The successful candidate will be able to manage young learner classes effectively and will preferably have experience of teaching Cambridge exam classes.

Details of the position: no weekend classes, on-site classes only, blocked afternoon hours from 15.30h-21.30h, 20h finish on Fridays, group classes with possibility of 121s, weekly hours to be decided with candidate.

Qualifications & experience: Cambridge CELTA or similar TEFL qualification, 1 year teaching experience minimum, conversational Spanish/Catalan preferable, EU national or work permit required.

22-23 course dates: Thurs 15th September - Thurs 22nd June
(We follow the academic calendar, typically with 2 weeks holiday at Christmas, 1 week at Easter plus public holidays)
