Improv Workshop With Natasha Jaffe

In this Improvisation Workshop, we go over the basics of rock/pop/folk improvisation. We will talk about solos vs. accompaniment, how to read chord charts and use them to create bass lines or solo melodies, as well as ways to communicate with fellow musicians musically during a jam session. These techniques can be applied to future work with bands of all sorts in creating your own parts for new songs, or for getting more enjoyment out of casual jam sessions (and improving your improvisation skills every time you jam).
