Part time block hours in Morata de Tajuña
We are looking for a teacher to join us from late September for part-time hours.

ABOUT US
North Star English opened in January 2019 and had 100 students at the end of last year. This year we hope to expand to 170 students.

We have three classrooms and another site in Tielmes. Our classrooms have projectors and whiteboards, and we have a wide range of flashcards and games. We also have a huge online library, with books, games and exam prep materials.

Our classes begin at 3 years old and we continue through to adults. With our young learners we focus on communicative activities and place an emphasis on learning through songs and games.

From 5th of primary we prepare our students for Cambridge exams.

The vast majority of our students are children and teenagers, so you must have an interest in working with this age group.

ABOUT YOU
You must have a minimum of two years' teaching experience and Cambridge exam preparation is absolutely vital.

We pride ourselves on fun, dynamic classes with all levels, so we require a motivated, energetic teacher who can encourage their students.

THE JOB OFFER
We are looking for somebody to work with us initially for ten hours per week over three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). We have classes between 3pm and 9pm, and block hours would be offered within this timetable. We expect to be able to offer more hours after classes start, with the aim of offering around fifteen hours per week towards Christmas.

Morata de Tajuña is a satellite village of Madrid, located 30km from the capital. Whilst this position would suit a driver, Morata is well-connected, with a bus regularly departing from Conde de Casal, taking 40 minutes. We would also be able to take and/or drop off the successful candidate in Madrid depending on timetables.

SALARY
We understand that Morata isn't the most accessible part of Madrid, so we are able to offer 20€ per hour net to compensate. We will also pay for the appropriate public transport travel card which would enable you to travel to Morata by bus for free.

We offer a bonus scheme at Christmas and in June which is based on teacher performance and student satisfaction.

As Morata is a small village, and reputation is crucial to us, we need the successful candidate to commit at least until the end of June 2020. After working in the academy sector for many years, we understand the concerns and problems teachers have and strive to solve these in order to have a good relationship with teachers.
