My name is Tania Ballesteros. I am a native Spanish teacher based in Madrid. I am from Colombia, so I speak Latin American Spanish. However, I am also knowledgeable about ´Castellano´ (Spanish from Spain) since I have lived here for over five years whilst doing my MSc and PhD in ecology. In addition, I have undertaken formal training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Using a communicative approach, I teach one-to-one and small group classes focusing on developing the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and language systems (grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation).

I have taught language learners from A1 – C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). I teach general Spanish and preparation for DELE exam. I also provide face-to face teaching (from mid July) and online-teaching (Skype).

I am a dedicated and passionate teacher who believes that learning a language should be fun!
