2021/2022 - Full Time EFL Teacher/Assistant

British Native here, blond, blue eyed, always smiling (cheesy smiley picture included) and waiting to join your join school September 2021.

Originally from near Birmingham in the UK I have been living and working in Madrid now since October 2016.

As a Native English Teacher, I specialise in teaching Practical and Conversation English focusing on getting students feel comfortable in speaking English beyond the books. Sometimes people can find that after studying English for years when it comes to social situations or following conversations there is still that feeling of anxiety and not being able to say what you really want to in the moment. My aim is to work on this and really help students to feel like they are learning English in a way that they can put their personality into the language.  

This past three years I have worked as a Language Assistant at El Valle Colegio in Valdebernardo working with ESO and Bachillerato working with children in oral English classes, biology, physics/chemistry, geography and history as part of their bi-lingual auxiliar programme. Delivering classes heavily involved in improving their confidence in oral speaking and projects relevant to the subjects. 

I have also taken part in the UCETAM Auxiliares de Conversacion Programm working with ESO kids (11-16) at Colegio Artica here in Madrid which has been a fantastic experience and really developed my teaching skills alongside giving me a lot of creative freedom with lesson planning and creating my own projects which I lead for much of the year.
