Midleton School: English Lab is currently recruiting English language teachers for Primary and Secondary school students for the 2022/23 academic year.

Midleton School is one of the largest English academies in the south of Madrid. Our two centres, located in El Casar (Getafe), are easily reached by a short train ride from Atocha Renfe. 
Our extra-curricular English classes take place at Colegio San Gabriel in Carabanchel.

Our teachers and academic support team are dedicated to providing a friendly and safe study environment that ensures that all our students – regardless of age, level, or reason for studying English – achieve their personal learning aims. We offer:

Teaching hours between 13:00 and 18:45, from Monday to Thursday at our partner school Colegio San Gabriel in Carabanchel, and from 16:00 TO 20:00 on Fridays at the academy in Getafe.
Continuous professional development in the form of training sessions, coaching and mentoring, as well as training by external providers
Small groups of learners with a maximum of 10 students per class, and 6 at our academy.

Job requirements:

Certification in English as a Second Language teaching
Valid work permit for Spain
Experience in language teaching to young children and teenagers (general English and test preparation courses)
Proficient  speaker with certified native level of English (e.g. Cambridge English: Proficiency)
Commitment to professional growth and outstanding customer attention
Ability to communicate effectively and be a proactive member of our team

Teacher duties:

To plan and deliver student-focused, engaging and fun lessons to students of various age groups – but primarily young learners – with clear and achievable learning aims
To collect and report on accurate records on student learning progress
To assess students and complete student reports in accordance with course syllabus
To attend and actively participate in teacher meetings and teacher training
