STEM TEACHER

ESC American School seeks  an inspiring STEM teacher who develops students' inquiring minds and gives them the hands-on science skills. Teachers are encouraged to immerse students in collaborative learning experiences, critical thinking skills, and evidence-based explanations.

The philosophy of the science department aims to engage the students in real world problems, allows them to explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate their own findings. Science has evolved from a content-based focus to a performance-based program where students learn science content through interactive inquiry-based labs, discussions, activities, and projects.
The position requires maintaining a full teaching load, serving as an advisor to a small cohort student, and active support of various student life activities.

We seek a dynamic teacher who inspires students to ask questions and examine Science. This individual should embrace working collaboratively and creatively with colleagues in shaping various curricular areas and divisions.

Candidates should be passionate about teaching and have a love of science and middle/high school-aged students and have a desire to share and collaborate with colleagues across all subject areas.
Located in the small town of Villaviciosa de Odón, in the northern area of Madrid, ESC American School is an American boarding school for international students, that offers a balanced approach to learning in a diverse and inclusive environment for approximately 450 mainly international students in middle and high school, with class sizes that average from 10-12 students per class.
