STEM/MATH TEACHER

Vermont Academy @ Liceo Europeo seeks an inspiring STEM teacher who develops students' inquiring minds and gives them the hands-on science skills. Teachers are encouraged to immerse students in collaborative learning experiences, critical thinking skills, and evidence-based explanations.
The philosophy of the science/math department aims to engage the students in real world problems, allows them to explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate their own findings. Science/math has evolved from a content-based focus to a performance-based program where students learn science/math content through interactive inquiry-based labs, discussions, activities, and projects.
The position requires maintaining a full teaching load, serving as an advisor to a small cohort student, and active support of various student life activities.
We seek a dynamic teacher who inspires students to ask questions and examine Science/math. This individual should embrace working collaboratively and creatively with colleagues in shaping various curricular areas and divisions.
Candidates should be passionate about teaching and have a love of science and middle/high school-aged students and have a desire to share and collaborate with colleagues across all subject areas.
