Mathematics Teacher Long Term Substitute

Job opportunity: a small American international school (Grades 7-12) in Villaviciosa del Odón is looking for a mathematics teacher to cover a long-term medical leave. Class sizes are small (maximum 10 students), and our student body is diverse (over 20 nations from around the world being represented.) Our methodology is project-based, with plenty of teacher autonomy and ample opportunity to plan cross-curricular activities and projects with teachers from other departments. We offer a congenial and supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate has experience teaching math at the high school level, is either a native or C1-level English speaker, and is able to scaffold their curriculum according to students´ language and learning needs. Valid work permit is essential (NO student visas) and a teaching certification is a plus. The workday is 8:30am - 4pm, and the course load is about 21 hours per week. The school offers an above-market salary, free daily lunch, and free daily car service to and from Principe Pio. Immediate start date.
