Substitute teacher needed until 19th June

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering classes across a range of age groups (including infantil; 3-5 years old) to adults, with a significant focus on preparing students for Cambridge English exams (A2 to C1).

This is a fully contracted position and provides the opportunity for long-term growth within the school.

Total weekly hours: 17 contact hours (classroom teaching hours) over 4 days

Salary: €1,370 gross/month

Whilst the contract offered will be a ‘substitute’ one, running until 18th June 2026, the contract will resume as ‘fijo discontinuo’ in September for interested candidates with a salary increase to 1548€ for 18 teaching hours based on completion of probation period.

More teaching hours may be available, paid at an extra rate

Location: Teaching based primarily in Morata de Tajuña (25-minute bus ride from Pavones), with one teaching day per week in Tielmes

Working environment: Small class sizes, well-resourced syllabus

Timetable: Monday to Thursday, classes usually in the afternoon between 16:00/17:00 and 20:00/21:00

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

- Minimum of three years of English teaching experience
- Proven experience in Cambridge English exam preparation (A2–C1)
- Recognised TEFL/CELTA/TESOL qualification
- Legal right to work in Spain (NIE / DNI and Social Security number)
- Strong classroom management and planning skills
- Ability to teach a variety of age groups, including young learners and teens
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude

Classes will begin on Monday 4th May.
